Why I lost interest in playing Minecraft

Minecraft is the best selling game of all time. With over 300 Million Copys sold, you can say it is quite popular. But in the recent past I have lost the interest in playing it. After thinking a lot about it I could narrow it down to three key factors:

First I lost my Minecraft Account due to the migration. Because of personal circumstances I couldn't migrate my Premium Account to a Microsoft Account. Losing your Minecraft is not a big deal for you single-player mode. If you have some of knowledge about the idea of code a Program-ConstructsΒ  it is easy to recover them. On the other hand you have the multiplayer servers where I spend some of my playing time. There the loss was unrecoverable. And grinding again to the height I once was, is just not worth its time.

Then there are the new updates which are coming out. Because I was playing less and less Minecraft. Now when I start a fresh world or do anything else, I am overwhelmed by the sheer amount of new stuff that was added since the last time I played. It is simply to complicated for me when I want to casually play for an hour or two.

And last, I found new interest in games I never played before.
